Maldives Police Service is searching for a man in connection with an investigation into a case involving the alleged fraudulent acquisition of money through deception.

Authorities have identified the individual as Iqbal, 40, from Narugis Villa in Vaavu Rakeedhoo.

He is being sought for questioning as part of an ongoing inquiry led by investigators in Hulhumalé Phase 1.

Police said efforts to locate the individual have so far been unsuccessful, preventing the formal issuance of a summons requiring his presence in connection with the case.

As part of the investigation, Iqbal has been requested to present himself at the Hulhumalé Phase 1 Police Station on March 24 at 10:00 a.m. for questioning regarding the matter.
