TMA sets new record with over 7,000 passenger transfers in a day
Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA), the world’s largest seaplane operator, has recorded the highest single-day operational volume in its history after completing more than 7,000 passenger transfers on Sunday.
In a post shared on its official Facebook page on Monday, the airline revealed that the milestone also included over 800 take-offs and landings within a single day marking a new operational record for the company.
TMA described the achievement as a testament to its operational preparedness and its ability to manage large-scale connectivity efficiently, particularly during periods of peak demand.
The company credited the accomplishment to the dedication and coordination of its teams, noting that complex flight schedules are handled with precision to ensure smooth and timely journeys for passengers.
An award-winning airline, TMA operates a fleet of more than 65 seaplanes and provides transfer services to numerous resorts across the Maldives, playing a key role in supporting the country’s tourism industry.
