The Maldives is participating in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF), one of the region’s leading platforms for entrepreneurs and innovators, currently underway in the United Arab Emirates.

The country is represented at the two-day festival by a delegation led by the Business Center Corporation (BCC).

According to the BCC, the participation aims to highlight Maldivian innovation at a regional level while fostering strategic partnerships with international stakeholders.

A key focus of the engagement is to support Maldivian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in accessing global markets.

Through exhibitions, networking sessions, and engagement with industry leaders, investors, and policymakers,

Maldivian businesses are expected to explore opportunities for technological collaboration and investment.

The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival is recognised as a major regional platform that brings together startups, innovators, investors, and decision-makers from across the Middle East and beyond, with a shared focus on driving entrepreneurial growth.

The BCC noted that its participation aligns with its broader efforts to empower Maldivian businesses and strengthen private sector competitiveness.

The corporation added that such international engagements play a vital role in integrating Maldivian enterprises into global innovation and entrepreneurship networks.
