MS Crystal Symphony brings over 500 tourists to Maldives

Around 500 tourists arrived in the Maldives today aboard the international cruise liner MS Crystal Symphony, according to Maldives Immigration.

The cruise ship reached the Maldives this afternoon after departing from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Maldives Immigration stated that Seaport Division officers successfully provided en-route immigration clearance services for a total of 577 people, including 496 crew members, onboard the vessel.

In a post shared on social media platform X, Maldives Immigration said that the Seaport Division officers successfully provided en-route immigration clearance services for 577 passengers and 496 crew members aboard MS Crystal Symphony. 

MS Crystal Symphony is a well-known international cruise liner that makes regular calls to the Maldives.

The vessel also visited the country last year, arriving in March with 307 passengers and 477 crew members, following an earlier visit at the start of the year.

Cruise tourism has continued to contribute to regional travel activity, with reports indicating that more than 5,000 tourists visited Maldives during the New Year period last year.
