Maldives President sends condolences after deadly Thailand rail crash
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his condolences to Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul following a deadly railway accident in the Sikhio district of Nakhon Ratchasima province.
In a statement, President Muizzu said he was deeply saddened by the tragic incident, which claimed dozens of lives and left many others injured.
He expressed the sympathies of the Government and people of the Maldives to the Thai authorities, as well as to the families of the victims.
The President also extended his wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in the accident and expressed hope that search and rescue operations would continue smoothly as authorities respond to the tragedy.
