Maldivian technology professionals and entrepreneurs have been invited to take part in the upcoming Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact Summit, scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India, from February 16 to 20.
The Indian High Commission in Malé launched the initiative with a special curtain raiser event aimed at encouraging participation from the Maldives.
The event was attended by Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology Dr. Mohamed Kinaanath as Guest of Honour, along with Indian High Commissioner G. Balasubramanian and representatives from leading Maldivian technology firms.
During the session, High Commissioner Balasubramanian highlighted India’s emerging role as a regional hub for technological innovation and AI-driven development.
He noted that this year’s summit marks the first time the global event is being hosted in a developing country and will attract delegates from more than 100 nations, including government officials, industry leaders, and digital innovators.
Among the high-profile participants expected at the summit is Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, alongside top executives from global technology companies.
The High Commission announced that Maldivian professionals keen to attend can apply directly through its office, which will facilitate registration and logistical arrangements for those selected.
