Maldives marks UAE National Day with messages of friendship and forward-looking cooperation
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended warm congratulations to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the country’s 54th National Day.
In separate messages to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Ruler of Dubai, President Dr. Muizzu praised the progress achieved under their leadership.
In his letter to Sheikh Mohamed, the President commended the UAE’s remarkable transformation into a hub of innovation, stability, and global engagement, highlighting the President’s visionary stewardship in steering the nation toward sustained advancement.
In his message to Sheikh Mohammed, President Dr. Muizzu acknowledged his influential leadership, under which Dubai has risen as a leading centre for economic growth, innovation, and cultural exchange.
President reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to deepening its longstanding friendship with the UAE, built on shared values, mutual respect, and a joint commitment to peace and sustainable development.
He expressed confidence that cooperation across all key sectors will continue to expand, while extending his personal best wishes to the UAE leadership and the Emirati people.
The President also conveyed his greetings publicly on his official X account, noting the significance of the UAE National Day and expressing optimism about the continued strengthening of Maldives–UAE relations.
UAE National Day is celebrated annually on 2 December, marking the unification of the emirates in 1971.
