High Court Judge Mohamed Faisal has tendered his resignation, the High Court confirmed today.

The court did not disclose the reason behind his decision.

Faisal’s resignation comes amid media reports suggesting that the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has initiated a disciplinary inquiry involving him and several other High Court judges.

In recent days, he has also been the subject of criticism and allegations circulating on social media.

Appointed to the High Court bench on July 24, 2018, Faisal had been serving as the court’s acting chief from March 19 this year until November 19, 2025.
