The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has donated proceeds collected from the sale of souvenir tickets for two friendly matches played between the Maldives and the Palestine youth national team.

A total of MVR 300,000 was raised through the initiative, with FAM presenting a symbolic cheque amounting to USD 19,455.25 as financial assistance to the visiting team.

The handover took place at a ceremony organized to mark the contribution, during which FAM expressed its appreciation to the Maldivian public for their enthusiastic support and generosity in purchasing the special tickets.

The Palestine Under-17 national team arrived in the Maldives on the 10th of this month as part of their preparations for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.

During their stay, the team held training sessions and played friendly matches against the Maldives youth team.

The AFC Asian Cup Qualifier matches are scheduled to take place from 22 to 30 of this month in Chonburi, Thailand.
