A 21 year old Nepalese woman residing in Hulhumalé was stabbed earlier today, police confirmed.

Authorities said they received reports around 12:45 PM of a woman injured with a sharp object and being transported to Hulhumalé Hospital.

The victim works as a sales staff at a shop in Hulhumalé Phase 1, police noted.

The details regarding the attacker and the motive remain unclear, and no information has yet been released by authorities.
