High Commissioner Luveiz accredited in Canberra, presents credentials to Australian Governor-General

Maldives’ newly appointed Non-Resident High Commissioner to Australia, Mohamed Luveiz, formally presented his Letters of Credence to the Governor-General of Australia, the Samantha Joy Mostyn AC, in a ceremony held on Thursday at Government House in Canberra.

The presentation marked the official commencement of High Commissioner Luveiz’s diplomatic tenure in Australia.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he conveyed President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s greetings and best wishes to the Governor-General, while reaffirming his commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between the Maldives and Australia.

Luveiz was appointed High Commissioner to Australia on 3 March 2025 and will serve concurrently as the High Commissioner of the Maldives to Singapore.
