Maldives Police Service has arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with an attempt to tamper with evidence in an ongoing case.

Police confirmed on Wednesday night that a special operation was launched yesterday following intelligence of attempts to influence case evidence.

As part of the operation, the suspect’s residence was searched under a court order, and several digital devices were seized.

Police also seized digital devices belonging to two other individuals under separate court orders, as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities stated that the operation remains active, with further details to be disclosed as the case progresses.
