The funeral of Adheel Ahmed, 21, of Thandiraiymaage, K. Guraidhoo, was held this morning after Fajr prayers, following the return of his body to the Family.

Adheel was found deceased at a resort in Baa Atoll on August 23.

His death was reported to the police, who later sent his body to India for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the body was handed over to his family yesterday upon completion of the autopsy.

Police have not yet confirmed whether there are suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
