Maldives Immigration has launched a new outreach initiative, ‘Immigration Insights,’ aimed at improving public awareness of immigration services and addressing common misconceptions among both locals and expatriates.

The programme was officially inaugurated on Thursday  by the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusaan, as part of a broader effort to enhance the quality and accessibility of services.

Through a series of short videos and social media posts, ‘Immigration Insights’ will provide simple explanations of complex procedures, making them easier for the public to understand.

According to Controller General of Immigration Ahmed Faseeh, the initiative will cover frequently misunderstood topics, including photo requirements for passports, the role of sponsorship declarations, and the process of applying for dependent visas.

Officials noted that the launch marks a key step in building public trust through greater transparency and communication.

By streamlining the flow of accurate information, Maldives Immigration aims to make immigration processes more efficient and less stressful for the public.
