The Commander of the Türkiye Navy Fleet, Admiral Kadir Yıldız, paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President’s Office on Sunday morning.

During the meeting, President Muizzu extended his gratitude to the Government of Türkiye for the recent donation of a naval ship, describing the gesture as a testament to the close and enduring partnership between the two nations.

He also acknowledged Türkiye’s continued support in multiple sectors.

Admiral Yıldız reaffirmed Türkiye’s strong commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations and expressed appreciation for the longstanding cooperation between the Maldives and Türkiye.

The discussions concluded with both President Muizzu and Admiral Yıldız emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and reaffirming their shared resolve to strengthen ties between the Maldives and Türkiye.
