MACL signs first SLA with Agriculture Ministry to streamline airport operations
Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched a major operational initiative to improve service quality and efficiency at Velana International Airport (VIA) through the introduction of comprehensive Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key government agencies and service partners.
As part of this strategic move, MACL signed its first SLA on Thursday, July 10, with the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare.
This agreement marks the beginning of a series of collaborative efforts aimed at aligning all airport stakeholders with international aviation standards and the growing operational demands of VIA’s New Passenger Terminal.
According to MACL, SLA framework defines clear performance indicators, standardized procedures, and service benchmarks to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across airport functions.
These agreements are designed to meet the evolving needs of increased passenger traffic and expanded flight operations.
With the imminent opening of the New Passenger Terminal, MACL is proactively coordinating with agencies and service providers to ensure seamless readiness and alignment with the terminal’s enhanced capacity and expectations.
