President Dr. Muizzu to undertake state visit to Singapore

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed will undertake a state visit to Singapore from June 29 to July 2, 2025, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

During the visit, President Dr. Muizzu is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with President Shanmugaratnam, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, and key members of the Singaporean Cabinet.

Discussions will focus on strengthening the longstanding bilateral partnership and exploring new avenues for cooperation in development and other mutually beneficial areas.

According to President's office, part of the visit he will also attend a business forum featuring leading Singaporean enterprises, with the aim of enhancing trade and investment ties between the two countries.

Several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed in diverse sectors during the visit.

The President is also set to engage with the Maldivian community residing in Singapore.

Singapore has remained a close and consistent partner of the Maldives since the establishment of diplomatic relations on February 20, 1975.

This upcoming visit is expected to reinforce the enduring friendship and further elevate Maldives–Singapore relations.
