Higher Education Ministry to launch App to address student concerns
Minister of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development Dr. Ali Haidar Ahmed has announced that a dedicated mobile application is being developed to streamline communication between students and the ministry, aiming to address student concerns more efficiently.
Speaking during today’s parliamentary session in response to a question from Galolhu North MP Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister Haidar acknowledged frequent complaints from students regarding unresponsiveness to their calls and emails, particularly concerning student loans and academic matters.
To improve communication, he noted that the ministry has already introduced a WhatsApp helpline, and separate WhatsApp numbers will soon be set up for countries where more than 50 Maldivian students are studying.
According to the minister, feedback indicates that messages to the WhatsApp line are being answered promptly.
Then at the same time we are introducing an app called Higher Education Management System. With that app, we will be able to address student requests or complaints very quickly,
Minister Haidar stated
The application is expected to be completed and launched by October this year.
