Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau has officially resigned from his post.

Senior Presidential Spokesperson Heena Waleed announced via social media platform X that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has accepted Shujau’s resignation.

Following the announcement, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan confirmed that Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikree has been appointed to take over the responsibilities of the Commissioner of Police.
