A 21-year-old Maldivian woman found lying on the rooftop of a residence in Malé City’s Henveiru district on Thursday morning is currently receiving medical treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The Maldives Police Service confirmed that the incident was reported at around 7:23am.

The woman was transported to the hospital with the assistance of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)’s Fire and Rescue Service.

As of now, IGMH has not issued any official statement regarding her condition, leaving her current status unknown.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and further details are expected as inquiries continue.
