Renowned Indian music director and television personality Anu Malik has heaped praise on Maldivian band "2ofUs" following their electrifying performance on the Indian reality music competition Battle of Bands International, aired on Doordarshan.

This year’s edition of Battle of Bands marked a new chapter by welcoming international acts for the first time.

Among the foreign talents, 2ofUs is representing the Maldives in the show, alongside bands from countries such as Mauritius, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Singapore, Russia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Following 2ofUs’s powerful stage performance, Anu Malik, known for his candid and passionate judging style, enthusiastically declared, “Aag lagaa dhi!” (Set it on fire) – a phrase he reserves for only the most exceptional acts.

He further expressed that if it were his decision, the Maldivian band would take home the title of performer of the day.

The band also clinched the “Performer of the Day” title for the episode, with special mention given to lead vocalist Adhuham, whose vocal prowess particularly impressed Malik.
