President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reiterated his intention to continue close cooperation with the government of Saudi Arabia, as he bid farewell to the outgoing Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives, Matrek bin Abdullah Al-Ajalin Al-Dosari.

The meeting took place on Tuesday morning at the President’s Office.

During the meeting, President Dr. Muizzu expressed deep appreciation for the Ambassador’s contributions in fostering strong bilateral relations throughout his tenure.

He highlighted the numerous fruitful engagements between the two nations and acknowledged the Ambassador’s key role in enhancing diplomatic ties.

President also extended his best wishes to Ambassador Al-Dosari in his future endeavours and fondly recalled the warm hospitality shown by the Saudi government during his Umrah trip in May.

The meeting concluded with both the President and the Ambassador reaffirming their mutual commitment to further strengthen the Maldives–Saudi Arabia partnership in the years ahead.
