President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Japan on the occasion of the country's National Day ( Emperor Naruhito’s birthday), recognizing Japan’s invaluable contributions to the development of the Maldives.

In separate letters addressed to Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, President Dr. Muizzu conveyed his best wishes and reaffirmed the deep-rooted friendship between the Maldives and Japan, built on mutual respect, trust, and shared values.

He expressed his sincere appreciation for Japan’s continued assistance in various sectors and reiterated the Maldives’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.

The President also took to social media platform 'X' to share his greetings, emphasizing the Maldives’ appreciation for Japan’s ongoing support.
