Foreign Minister Khaleel calls on Sri Lankan President Dissanayaka

Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has paid a courtesy call on Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka as part of his ongoing official visit to Sri Lanka.

The meeting, held at the Presidential Secretariat, provided an opportunity for Minister Khaleel to convey greetings and best wishes from Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the people of the Maldives.

Discussions focused on the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, with Minister Khaleel expressing the Maldivian government’s commitment to exploring new avenues for cooperation to further strengthen the historic friendship between Maldives and Sri Lanka.

On behalf of President Dr. Muizzu and the Maldivian people, Minister Khaleel extended heartfelt appreciation to the government and people of Sri Lanka for their continued support and assistance in the Maldives’ development efforts.

During his visit, Minister Khaleel has also held bilateral talks with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath and paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya.
