IGMH dismisses claims of surgery suspension, calls for responsible reporting
The Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has denied allegations circulating on social media that it has suspended surgical procedures due to a shortage of medical supplies.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, IGMH clarified that all surgeries are proceeding as scheduled and that no disruptions have occurred.
The hospital also expressed concern over the spread of misinformation, urging the public to verify facts before sharing unverified claims.
IGMH strongly condemned the false reports, emphasizing the importance of responsible dissemination of information, especially regarding critical healthcare services.
The hospital’s response comes after social media posts suggested that some surgeries had been halted due to a shortage of essential consumables.
However, IGMH reassured that surgical procedures continue without interruption.
