The Maldives Immigration, in collaboration with the Maldives Police Service, has arrested Seven foreign nationals for their involvement in prostitution.

This operation is part of a broader effort to curb illegal activities conducted by expatriates in the country.

Immigration reported that in November, special inspections were carried out to identify individuals engaged in prostitution.

As a result, five foreign women and two foreign men, suspected of acting as agents, were apprehended in connection with four separate cases.

Following investigations, three of the women have already been deported, while efforts are underway to process the deportation of the remaining four individuals according to Immigration.

The deportations are part of an ongoing initiative by Maldives Immigration and law enforcement agencies to address illegal immigration and unauthorized business operations, ensuring compliance with the nation’s laws.
