Maldives and Pakistan engage in talks to strengthen defense collaboration

Defense Minister Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon held discussions with General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistani Army, to explore avenues for bolstering military cooperation between the Maldives and Pakistan.

The meeting occurred on the sidelines of IDEAS 2024, the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar, being hosted in Karachi, Pakistan. T

he biennial event, a prominent platform for defense sector collaboration, runs from November 19 to 22 at the Karachi Expo Center.

During their discussions, the two leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing defense ties and identified key areas for mutual collaboration to address evolving regional security challenges.
