Ghiyasuddin International School has been named the best school at the BML 20th Interschool Swimming Competition, organized by the Swimming Association of Maldives and sponsored by the Bank of Maldives (BML).

The competition took place from October 12 to 17, 2024, at the Hulhumale’ Swimming Pool, with over 480 students from 21 schools competing in various events.

Ghiyasuddin International School claimed the title of best school in both the junior and senior divisions, while Iskandhar School finished as the second-best school overall.

The competition featured a variety of swimming events, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, with distances ranging from 25 to 200 meters.

The event also included elite athletes with disabilities (E.A.D), promoting inclusivity in sports.

- Girls 3rd Place: Muhyiddin School

- Boys 1st Place: Ahmadiyya International School

- Boys 2nd Place: Ghaazee School

- Boys 3rd Place: Majeediyya School

- Girls 2nd Place: Finland International School

- Girls 3rd Place: Ghiyasuddin International School

- Boys 1st Place: Finland International School

The awards ceremony, held on October 19, 2024, at the Hulhumale’ Swimming Pool, was attended by Bank of Maldives officials, including Gulnaz Mahir (Director of Customer Service), Hussain Rasheed (Head of Branches and Service Centers), Aminath Shiba Zahir, and Fatima Maliha Jamal, who presented the trophies and certificates to the winners.
