Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef departed on Sunday for Samoa, leading a high-level government delegation to participate in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2024.

During his official visit, the Vice President is expected to engage in various events, delivering key remarks and interventions.

The meeting provides a critical platform for Commonwealth nations to discuss pressing global issues such as economic growth, environmental sustainability, and international security.

Delegations will also explore avenues for building resilience, enhancing trade, and fostering a sustainable future.

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting brings together leaders from 56 nations across Africa, the Caribbean and Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. CHOGM 2024 will be held in Samoa from October 21 to 26.
