Ooredoo donates MVR 16 Million worth medical equipment to Air Ambulance
Ooredoo Maldives has strengthened its commitment to advancing healthcare by donating specialized medical equipment worth MVR 16 million to the national Air Ambulance service.
The contribution, part of Ooredoo’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, reinforces the company’s focus on healthcare as one of its core pillars.
Launched on March 1, 2024, with support from Ooredoo, the Air Ambulance has already become a crucial service, providing life-saving medical transport across the Maldives.
The initial equipment provided by Ooredoo was instrumental in getting the service operational. Since its inception, the Air Ambulance has handled 436 emergency cases, transporting 517 patients who were in urgent need of medical care.
To further enhance the capabilities of the service, Ooredoo has today delivered an additional batch of state-of-the-art medical devices, aimed at improving patient care and boosting the service’s capacity to respond to emergencies more effectively.
At the ceremony held for the handover of the donation today, Ooredoo Maldives’ CEO, Khalid Al Hamadi, expressed the company’s dedication to improving healthcare access across the nation.
