In a police raid on a spa in Hulhumalé, seven individuals were arrested following a tip-off to Police Intelligence about an alleged prostitution operation.

Police searched the premises under a court order.

The group includes three Maldivian women, one Maldivian man, and three Thai women.

All seven suspects were brought before the Hulhumalé Magistrate's Court for remand hearings.

The court has ordered the detention of the three Thai women for 10 days, the three Maldivian women for seven days, and the Maldivian man for five days.

Police are investigating the incident.
