Broadcasting must prioritize advocacy for the nation: President Dr. Muizzu

President Dr. Muizzu emphasized that the primary goal of the broadcasting sector in the Maldives should be to advocate for the nation's interests and rights.

His remarks were made in a message shared in celebration of the country's 62nd Broadcasting Day, observed annually on October 4th. 

In his statement, President Muizzu described broadcasting as a "trust" and a significant responsibility,

The main objective of the broadcasting industry should be to advocate for the country and its rights

He noted

Broadcasting Day is commemorated in recognition of the Maldives' first official broadcast in 1962.

The theme of this year's celebration, "Visions of Tomorrow: Shaping the Future of Broadcasting," reflects the sector’s ongoing evolution as it seeks to meet future challenges.
