President Dr. Muizzu proves Maldives’ global voice at UN: Gasim Ibrahim
Jumhooree Party leader and Maamigili MP Gasim Ibrahim has commended President Dr. Muizzu for representing the Maldives on the global stage with dignity and strength at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
In a post shared on social media platform ‘X’, Gasim praised President Dr. Muizzu for proving that the Maldives is a nation that dares to speak boldly before the world.
President Dr. Muizzu returned to the Maldives earlier today after attending the UNGA.
Gasim highlighted that his speech garnered significant international attention, even making headlines in prominent media outlets.
Notably, President Dr. Muizzu became the first Maldivian president to address the UN Security Council, further elevating the country's profile on the global stage.
There is no doubt that since the Maldivian flag proudly began flying at the UN 59 years ago, President Dr. Muizzu has represented our nation in a thoughtful and fitting manner. He has shown that the Maldives is proud, courageous, strong, far-sighted, and skilled, with a vision for development.
