Despite the Maldives' relatively small population, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has demonstrated that the voice of the people resonates powerfully on the global stage, the 21st Speaker of Parliament, Abdul Raheem Abdulla proudly praised.

This statement came in response to President Muizzu’s impactful address at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

President Dr. Muizzu condemned Israel's actions in Gaza as a "genocide" and a "travesty of justice," highlighting the urgent humanitarian crisis and demanding accountability for violations of international law and UN resolutions.

Furthermore, the President underscored the urgent need for global unity to address pressing crises, which he attributed to human actions, urging nations to collaborate harmoniously instead of allowing the United Nations to remain in a state of despair.
