A discussion meeting took place at MIFCO's head office, involving senior officials from both MIFCO and the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare.

The focus of the meeting was to conduct research on agricultural sites and practices at MIFCO's sites, explore work expansion, and develop a strategic plan.

Key topics included strategies to increase the populations of goats and chickens at MIFCO locations, particularly in Felivaru and Kooddoo, as well as plans for agricultural expansion in Funaddoo.

The importance of providing technical training in agriculture for MIFCO employees was also emphasized.

Officials from the Ministry assured MIFCO of their full support and collaboration in addressing challenges related to agriculture, including identifying solutions for issues and diseases affecting crops and livestock.

Furthermore, discussions highlighted the potential for technical assistance from the Ministry to enhance these services.

MIFCO anticipates that increasing its agricultural efforts could help reduce food costs for its employees while also managing expenses through the sale of animals like goats and chickens.
