Road safety remains a key focus for the President Dr. Muizzu : Heena

Chief Spokesperson Heena Waleed emphasized that road safety in the Maldives, including Malé, is a top priority for President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Speaking at today’s press conference, she cited a recent post on 'X' where the President highlighted the importance of secure streets.

Heena outlined eight measures the President has directed, such as increasing police presence and improving monitoring, with efforts extending to the islands.

She also urged the public to follow road safety laws.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, who also spoke at the press conference, provided updates on key initiatives, including mosque construction, the development of the Maldives Hajj Corporation, and various Waqf projects.

He also highlighted the translation of Islamic studies texts and the establishment of the Zakat House.

Both officials answered media questions during the event.
