President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially transferred the oversight of the Home for People with Special Needs (HPSN) to the Ministry of Health, as per a directive issued by the President’s Office on Wednesday.

This decision is grounded in the authority granted by Article 116(a) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Maldives according to President’s Office.

The President's Office, in the statement, revealed that the Cabinet had recommended transferring the operation and maintenance responsibilities of the Special Needs Center to the Ministry of Health.

This decision followed detailed discussions regarding the center's management.
