Bank of Maldives (BML) CEO Karl Stumke has resigned from his post.

BML said today that Carl resigned as CEO yesterday. However, he will remain in office until the Special General Meeting (EGM) to be held on 21st of this month.

Thereafter, Deputy CEO Aishath Nooruddin will take over the responsibilities of the CEO until a new CEO is appointed.

While Karl Stumka has resigned, the bank has changed its decision of changes to card limit at the request of the MMA, amid widespread outrage against the government and the bank.
