The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Moosa Zameer, has embarked on an official visit to Bahrain, following an invitation from Bahrain's Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

During this visit, Minister Zameer will hold high-level discussions with  Foreign Minister of Bahrain to assess the enduring bilateral relations and explore future areas of cooperation.

This year marked the 44th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the Maldives and Bahrain.

In addition to meeting with the Foreign Minister, Minister Zameer will engage with senior Bahraini officials, including the Ministers of Finance and National Economy, Oil and Environment, and Tourism, to discuss collaboration opportunities in various sectors.

The visit, which is scheduled from August 11 to 15 of 2024, includes a delegation comprising Ambassador-at-Large Ahmed Naseer, Secretary, Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed, Joint Secretary Mariyam Reesha, and Assistant Director, Mizna Waheed.
