India adds two additional ports for export of essential commodities to Maldives

The Indian government has added two additional ports for export of  essential commodities to Maldives.

Regarding this, The Indian High Commission in Maldives said the two ports added by India for export of goods to Maldives are Kandla and Vishakapatnam sea ports.

 The 2023 amendment to the Foreign Policy Agreement signed between the Government of India and the Government of Maldives in 1992 was amended in April this year, according to the statement realeased by the Director General of Foreign Trade of India.

The change has been made for the fiscal year 2024 to 2025. No ports that are importing goods to Maldives have been removed from the list.
