Maldives welcomes third annual Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Cup at Crossroads

The highly anticipated Dhiraagu Tekkers Resort Cup 2024 has officially commenced with an exhilarating opening match in South Kaafu, hosted at the picturesque Crossroads Maldives.

The opening event took place on July 15, 2024, at the stunning Crossroads Maldives, with resort teams from across the South Kaafu region participating.

Special guests included Chief Guest Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu, Founder and Director of Crown Company and Secretary General of MATI Ahmed Nazeer, and Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, the Director of Brand and Marketing Communications from the event's title partner, Dhiraagu.

The opening ceremony was a spectacular affair, featuring a special charity match between a team led by the Minister of Sports Fitness and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu, and a star-studded team led by former national team player and Vice President of FAM, Ali Umar.

Attendees enjoyed an inspiring keynote speech by Mohamed Nashmee Rasheed, Managing Director of Tekkers, followed by remarks from Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, who emphasized the importance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and a sense of community.
