Today, the Maldives celebrated a significant milestone as it welcomed its one millionth tourist of the year.

The lucky traveler, hailing from Thailand, was warmly received at Velana International Airport.

Officials from the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and the Ministry of Tourism were present to extend their greetings.

This warm reception highlights the Maldives' enduring appeal as a premier destination for international travelers.

The Ministry of Tourism has set an ambitious target of attracting two million tourists by the end of the year, a goal that seems well within reach given the current momentum.
