Mohamed Fahumy Hassan, who was appointed State Minister for Foreign Affairs by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, has been dismissed from the post just after four days.

Fahmee was appointed State Minister of Foreign Affairs on 20th of this month. However, the President's office has confirmed to 'Voice' that he has now been dismissed and when asked about the reason for his dismissal, he said that the appointment and dismissal of the latter was also under the authority and discretion of the President. No further details were given.

Fahmee was previously the President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC). However, he was accused of sexually assaulting a female employee of the commission and was removed from the presidency and membership of the commission.

The case was referred to the Supreme Court in 2013, which ruled that all proceedings against him were null and void. Fahmee  even went to court to seek compensation.

The government has been criticized for appointing Fahmee as a state minister following allegations of sexual assault.
