BML grows to 55 branches across all atolls
Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded its nationwide banking network with the opening of seven new branches, further strengthening access to financial services across the country.
The new branches were officially inaugurated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and are located in Hoarafushi in Haa Alif Atoll, Kanditheemu in Shaviyani Atoll, Alifushi in Raa Atoll, Hinnavaru in Lhaviyani Atoll, Maamigili in Alif Dhaal Atoll, Gemanafushi in Gaafu Alif Atoll, and Maavah in Laamu Atoll.
With the latest expansion, BML now operates 55 branches across all 20 atolls of the Maldives.
The bank has opened 17 new branches over the past two years as part of its ongoing strategy to improve access to banking services for communities nationwide.
The expansion is intended to bring financial services closer to individuals and businesses, making it easier for customers to access banking facilities within their own communities.
BML says it continues to reinvest its growth into strengthening its nationwide presence and enhancing financial inclusion across the country.
As the Maldives' largest financial institution, the bank maintains the country's most extensive banking network.
In addition to its 55 branches, BML operates more than 340 ATMs and offers a wide range of digital banking services, providing customers with convenient access to banking both in person and online.
The latest branch openings form part of the bank's continued efforts to expand its services and improve financial accessibility for people living throughout the Maldives.
