Senior Maldives police officer completes UK executive leadership program

Chief Superintendent of Police Fathmath Nashwa of the Maldives Police Service has successfully completed the Executive Leaders Programme conducted by the United Kingdom's College of Policing, further strengthening the leadership capacity of the country's police force.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the program began on February 26 and concluded with its third and final phase in the United Kingdom from June 29 to July 10.

The course is designed to prepare experienced officers for senior leadership roles by building on their professional knowledge and operational experience.

The Executive Leaders Programme focuses on developing the leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills required for senior policing positions.

Participants also examined organizational management systems, explored opportunities for institutional improvement, and enhanced their ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders and other agencies.

The curriculum emphasized leadership development through collaboration, organizational evaluation, and identifying strategies to improve policing practices and institutional performance.

A total of 62 police officers from multiple countries graduated from this year's program, reflecting its international focus on strengthening leadership within law enforcement agencies.

The completion of the program marks another step in the Maldives Police Service's efforts to enhance professional development and equip senior officers with the knowledge and skills needed to address evolving policing challenges.
