President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu officially opened the Maldives Financial Expo 2026 on Wednesday morning at Hulhumalé Central Park.

The President was welcomed to the event by Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) Governor Ahmed Munawar before inaugurating the three-day expo.

Organized by the MMA, the expo will run from July 2 to July 4 and marks the return of the event after a nine-year break.

It brings together major organizations from the country’s financial sector under one roof.

Held under the theme Empowering Sustainable Futures: Inclusion, Innovation, and Intelligence, the expo features commercial banks, insurance companies, financial service providers, regulatory authorities, and several government institutions.

The event gives visitors an opportunity to learn more about financial products and services while interacting directly with representatives from leading institutions in the Maldives.

Following the opening ceremony, President Dr. Muizzu toured the exhibition and visited stalls set up by participating organizations.
