Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed are scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia on Monday to undertake the Umrah pilgrimage, according to the President’s Office.

The statement noted that the visit is being facilitated by the Government of Saudi Arabia, which will cover all hospitality and related expenses for the trip.

Arrangements for the pilgrimage were finalised earlier in February.

This marks the latest in a series of religious observances undertaken by the presidential couple since assuming office.

They performed the Hajj pilgrimage last year and had also completed an Umrah pilgrimage the year before.
