President Dr. Muizzu reaffirms commitment to inclusive society on World Braille day
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building an inclusive society where every citizen has equal access to information and opportunities.
In a message posted on his official X account to commemorate World Braille Day, the President highlighted the transformative role of Braille in empowering people with visual impairments.
He noted that the system enhances learning, independence, and dignity, helping ensure fuller participation in community life.
President Muizzu reiterated that compassion, inclusion, and accessibility remain guiding principles of national governance, stressing that no one should be left behind as the country progresses.
Sharing similar sentiments, First Lady Sajidha Mohamed paid tribute to the strength and resilience of individuals living with visual impairments.
She emphasized that access to knowledge is a fundamental right and called for greater empathy and awareness in shaping social development.
The First Lady urged collective action to promote kindness and support, saying that every person should feel valued, protected, and empowered within their communities.
