Election Commission Vice-President Ismail Habeeb has stated that the government is trying to interfere in the election ahead of the election.

Responding to a question from a journalist, Habeeb replied by stating that the government is attempting to interfere in the election process. Habeeb also expressed concern over the others interfering in the voting process.

"The reality is that influence comes from more than just the government. Government influence will also be present. The chances for non-governing parties will simply be slightly limited, regardless of the type of administration. As an illustration, a president will run for office using that title. Opportunities with extra benefits that aren't available to candidates occasionally arise. The Election Commission, however, asserts that the vote is being affected on all fronts.

With this, Habib said that no matter how much influence the voter has, its Election Commission will allow the boater to vote for the person he wants.

"No matter how much influence is exerted on a voter, the Election Commission will provide him with the ballot paper to give his vote to the person he wants," .

Said Habeeb

Meanwhile, Election Commission President Fuad Taufeeq has said that the election process will be conducted fairly and that the commission will not allow the government to become a rival faction. Fuad said the same rules would be followed for all stakeholders.
