Mohamed Zayan (Chopu), 17, has won the junior men's section of the "Gamaadhoo Kolhu 2022" surf tournament being held in Himmafushi, Kaafu Atoll.

Chopu won the tournament by defeating Mohamed Inan Abdul Hannan in the final heat.

Chopu scored 15.17 points in the final heat. He scored eight points in his best wave, second only to 7.17 points.

Born in Guraidhoo, K. Guraidhoo, 13-year-old Inan scored a total of 12.30 points in the final.

Inan scored 6.17 points for the second best team, while Inan scored 6.13 points for the second best team.

This is the second time the 17-year-old has reached the final of the Dhivehi Surf League. 

Zayan has previously lost to Sharuf Shair during his first time in Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhdhoo Kalhegalekoda in Dhivehi Surf League.
